The Math Doctor assessment
Every student starts with our Math Doctor assessment. This helps identify what your child already understands and where they may need more support.
For Grade 7 students, this can be especially helpful because seventh grade leans heavily on proportional reasoning and integer skills. If ratios, fractions, or working with negative numbers is feeling tricky, the assessment helps show where to begin.
A personalized weekly learning plan
Every Monday, your child receives a personalized learning plan built around their assessment results and ongoing progress. The plan targets the skills they need most, helping them fill gaps from earlier years, keep up with current class topics, and move ahead when they are ready.
For 7th grade students, the weekly plan is designed to feel manageable alongside a busier school schedule. Lessons can be completed in short sessions, making it easier to fit steady practice into the week.
Interactive lessons and activities
Lessons are short, interactive, and engaging, using visuals, audio support, activities, instant feedback, and worked solutions to help students build understanding one step at a time.
At this level, practice works best when each step is clear and the reason behind it makes sense. Interactive activities help students work through ratios and proportion, integers, algebra, geometry, and probability in a way that builds real understanding, not just memorised rules.
Real tutor support when they need it
Your child's lessons are designed to teach each concept clearly, with short activities, visual support, instant feedback, and worked solutions to help them understand what to do next.
For many Grade 7 students, this built-in support helps them work through proportional reasoning, integers, and algebra at a manageable pace. If your child gets stuck, or wants a concept explained a different way, tutor support is available.
Using screen sharing and an interactive whiteboard, tutors can walk through specific problems in real time. Tutor support is available up to 10 hours per week and is included in the weekly pricing.
Parents can also contact tutor support to talk through their child's progress, ask questions about the weekly report, or better understand what their child is working on.
Weekly progress reports
Each week, you'll receive a report showing how your child is progressing with their lessons.
For Grade 7 parents, this can be especially helpful. Students this age do not always mention when they are struggling, and may say everything is fine when a topic has not clicked yet. The weekly report gives you a clearer picture of how they are really going.
It helps you see where your child is building confidence, where they may need more support, and how their skills are developing over time.
A rewards system that keeps students motivated
Students earn points as they complete lessons and activities. These points can be exchanged for gift cards to popular stores, giving them a tangible way to see their effort pay off.
For students this age, steady effort can be hard to sustain. Seeing their points grow gives them something to work towards each week and helps keep motivation up as the math gets more demanding.
