The Math Doctor assessment
Every student starts with our Math Doctor assessment. This helps identify what your teen already understands and where they may need more support.
For Grade 12 students, this can be especially helpful because Pre-Calculus draws on all of the algebra and functions from earlier years. If algebra, functions, or trigonometry is feeling shaky, the assessment helps show where to begin.
A personalized weekly learning plan
Every Monday, your teen receives a personalized learning plan built around their assessment results and ongoing progress. The plan targets the skills they need most, helping them fill gaps from earlier years, keep up with current coursework, and prepare for exams.
For 12th grade students, the weekly plan is designed to fit around a demanding school timetable. Lessons can be completed in short sessions, so steady practice is easier to keep up even in a busy week.
Interactive lessons and activities
Lessons are short, interactive, and engaging, using visuals, audio support, activities, instant feedback, and worked solutions to help students understand each method rather than just memorise it.
At this level, a small gap in an earlier skill can quickly hold back current work. Interactive activities help students work through advanced functions, trigonometry, and the foundations of calculus step by step, so the reasoning behind each method is clear.
Real tutor support when they need it
Your teen's lessons are designed to teach each concept clearly, with short activities, visual support, instant feedback, and worked solutions to help them understand what to do next.
For many Grade 12 students, this built-in support helps them work through advanced functions, trigonometry and early calculus at a manageable pace. If your teen gets stuck, or wants a method explained a different way, tutor support is available.
Using screen sharing and an interactive whiteboard, tutors can work through specific problems in real time. Tutor support is available up to 10 hours per week and is included in the weekly pricing.
Parents can also contact tutor support to talk through their child's progress, ask questions about the weekly report, or better understand what their child is working on.
Weekly progress reports
Each week, you'll receive a report showing how your teen is progressing with their lessons.
For Grade 12 parents, this can be especially helpful. Older students do not always say when they are struggling, and a topic can slip well before a test makes it obvious. The weekly report gives you a clearer picture of how they are really going.
It helps you see where your teen is building confidence, where they may need more support, and how their skills are developing over time.
A rewards system that keeps students motivated
Students earn points as they complete lessons and activities. These points can be exchanged for gift cards to popular stores, giving them a tangible way to see their effort pay off.
Even for older students, staying consistent through a long year is hard. Seeing their points grow gives them something to work towards each week and helps keep motivation up as the math gets more demanding.
