The Math Doctor assessment
Every child starts with our Math Doctor assessment. This helps identify what your child already understands and where they may need more support.
For Grade 4 students, this can be especially helpful because fourth grade builds on several earlier skills at once. If multiplication, division, fractions, or place value is feeling tricky, the assessment helps show where to begin.
A personalized weekly learning plan
Every Monday, your child receives a personalized learning plan built around their assessment results and ongoing progress. The plan targets the skills they need most, helping them strengthen earlier foundations, practise current class topics, and move ahead when they are ready.
For 4th grade students, the weekly plan is designed to feel manageable. Lessons can be completed in short sessions, making it easier to fit learning into the week without overwhelming your child.
Interactive lessons and activities
Lessons are short, interactive, and engaging, using visuals, audio support, activities, instant feedback, and worked solutions to help children build understanding one step at a time.
At this age, practice works best when it feels clear and encouraging. Interactive activities help children revisit multi-digit multiplication and division, fractions, decimals, angles, and word problems in a way that feels more approachable than worksheets alone.
Real tutor support when they need it
Your child's lessons are designed to teach each concept clearly, with short activities, visual support, instant feedback, and worked solutions to help them understand what to do next.
For many Grade 4 students, this built-in support helps them work through multi-digit calculations, fractions and decimals at a manageable pace. If your child needs extra help, or if you would like guidance on how to support them at home, tutor support is available.
Using screen sharing and an interactive whiteboard, tutors can walk through specific concepts in real time. Tutor support is available up to 10 hours per week and is included in the weekly pricing.
Parents can also contact tutor support to talk through their child's progress, ask questions about the weekly report, or better understand what their child is working on.
Weekly progress reports
Each week, you'll receive a report showing how your child is progressing with their lessons.
For Grade 4 parents, this can be especially helpful. Children this age often find it hard to explain exactly what they are learning or where they are getting stuck, so the weekly report gives you a clearer picture of how they are going.
It helps you see where your child is building confidence, where they may need more support, and how their skills are developing over time.
A rewards system that keeps young learners motivated
Children earn points as they complete lessons and activities. These points can be exchanged for gift cards to popular stores, giving them a fun and tangible way to celebrate their effort.
For 9 and 10-year-olds, seeing their points grow can make learning feel more rewarding. It gives them something to look forward to each week and helps keep motivation high as they build their math skills.
